Buffalo Bills Stadium

On April 4, 2025, the Buffalo Bills marked a major milestone in the construction of the new Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park with a traditional topping-out ceremony. The highlight of the event was the placement of the final 156-foot steel beam, which was adorned with an American flag, the New York State flag, and a lucky evergreen tree—a symbolic gesture of prosperity and community spirit. Hundreds of partners, employees, and stakeholders had the honor of signing the beam before it was set in place.

The ceremony was graced by prominent figures including Bills owner Terry Pegula, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz. Commissioner Goodell captured the sentiment of the day when he remarked on the deep connection between the team and the community, emphasizing that this project would secure the franchise's legacy for decades to come.

Since breaking ground on June 5, 2023, the stadium project has grown to become the largest construction endeavor in the history of Western New York. With the project now over 50% complete, major milestones have included the completion of the precast seating bowl and the ongoing installation of the roof canopy. The natural grass turf is scheduled for installation in the fall of 2025, paving the way for the stadium's grand opening in 2026.

This topping-out milestone is not only a testament to the dedication of more than 1,200 tradespeople working on-site daily but also reflects the successful collaboration between the construction management teams of Gilbane Building Company and Turner Construction Company. Stonebridge, Inc. is proud to be part of this historic journey, sharing in the celebration of a project that promises to be a lasting symbol of community and excellence for Buffalo football.
